IDST Hyderabad branch has celebrated its AGM-2021 in-person meeting on 16.09.2021 in DRDO Auditorium, Hyderabad. Nearly 55 members were attended the meeting. A talk on “ Success Stories of Missile Integration and Launching” by Sri P. Raghavendra Rao and another talk on “ Problems faced during integration and testing of Sub-Systems” by Sri P. Narasimha Rao under Dr Suri Bhavantham Memorial Lecture Series. Members who have completed 75th year was falicitated and two PI’s who rendered the longest period as PI were also felicitated. New members who hav joined since last AGM were ntroduced. Ovarall the meeting was concluded successfully. Enclosed some of the photos:
BRANCH ANNUAL GET TO GATHER 2020
IDST Hyderabad branch celebrated its "IDSTians Annual Get-Together-2020" on 23 Feb 2020 at DRDO Auditorium. More than 65 members and around 30 spouses attended the program. The program started with a presentation on "Recent Advances in Management of Diabetic Retinopathy" by Dr Gaurav Arora of Dr Agarwal Eye Hospitals, Hyderabad. The presentation was more of information on Retinopathy and well received by all the members. It was followed by a classical dance program performed by Swathi Dance Academy.
IDSTians of Hyderabad Branch organised their Annual Get together on 17th March 2019 at DLOMI, Hyderabad.
This provided an excellent opportunity to IDSTians for better interaction and discussion on issues of interest. A talk on 'Osteo Arthritis' and a dance program was organised. Response was very good.
New Year Branch Meeting with Family Get Together
The Branch Council had introduced a novel system of family interaction of IDST members by conducting New Year meeting of the Branch combining it with family get togher. It started with the organization of January 2006 meeting at Vinaya Nagar Community Hall when the spouses of members were also invited. Before discussing the Business issues of the IDST, a one-hour entertainment programme was conducted. Next year, i.e, in February 2008 also, an evening get together was organized at Hotel Woodlands, Himayat Nagar. In January 2009, on members popular demand the New Year meeting was conducted on the waters of Hussain sagar lake (Tank Bund). A large air-conditioned boat was taken on hire from the AP Tourism. Followed by cultural programme and lunch, the business meeting was conducted when the spouses were enjoying the scenic beauty of lake from the top deck. There was massive participation from members and even several outstation members also attended the function with their spouses. In February 2010, IDST went a step further and organized the AGM at Dhola-ri-Dhani, an ethnic Rajasthani village at the outskirts of Hyderabad. As the place is quite far off, transport was arranged from 3 different points of the City to pick up the members and their spouses at nominal charge. This unique move of IDST to provide interaction among the families of IDST members has been widely welcome by the members.
